Valentine's Party

Gabriel had his Valentine's Day party at preschool on Wednesday. I showed up just at the end while he was passing out his cards. He is so sweet and was picking out each card for each of his friends. He loved his party and brought all of his valentines home and lined them up and he calls it his collection. He has really been into collecting things lately.

Family Band

Gabriel had the idea to make a band last night. He drafted his sisters one willing and a few not so willing into being in his band. After he gathered every instrument he could find in the house including his ukulele from Hawaii and Chyna's flute for band they were ready. They performed a slew of Christmas songs for us...Gabriel's choice of course. We did have one casualty if the night. Gabriels drum set has been destroyed. Someone really got into the rock n roll spirit and smashed through it. He was a little upset at first but then realizing Santa brought it for him he just replied "it's okay Santa will bring me a new one next Christmas."

Vegas Vacation

Winter break is so long here in Sanger. The kids were out of school for three full weeks and after New Years was over there wasn't much to do with them. Jason had been wanting to visit his friend Frank who had surgery in December so we figured this was a good time so they could watch all the football games together and whatever else men do. We arrived Thursday just in time for the National Championship game.

The Wolfe's have 5 kids. Four of them boys so they are really into sports in that house.

Gabriel loved playing with Noah. By the second day he was calling him his brother. Hey I am fine with that because we are not having anymore kids so he has to adopt one. (Maybe Noah could be a brother in law someday..hint, hint Gillian and Noah ;)
I think Brandon AKA wrestling boy was giving his mom a look about the flash going off so much during the game.

Their kids were in school so the next day we decided to take ours to the strip to play some games and walk around a little. We were going out that night so we didn't want to leave them in the house the whole time.

These stuffed animals only cost us $100 in games. No just kidding we actually made out pretty well this time. The kids were all good at the games.

Chyna is at that age where she is not a kid but not a teenager. I guess the word is "tween". She still had fun I think.

Gabriel is a camera hog until this moment he suddenly got shy on me.

My babe doing his Elvis impersonation. Nice lip curl!

We love M&M's. Too bad Kyle Bush has to drive their car.

BOO Kyle!

Frank and Marina. I swear these are the nicest people I have ever met. They let us stay with them everytime we come. They even tolerate Jason and I being so wishy washy. haha

Time for a night out.

This was like the 15th shot taken. I think the men were getting tired.

Saturday everyone was home so we decided to go to the park and play some bocce ball. Jason and I had never played before so after a quick rule explanation we were ready. The kids made their own games in the leaves and at the park.

I remember "big" Gabriel when he was still in diapers. Now look he is almost bigger than his mom.
Jason and I played Frank and Marina first. We are scoping out the game. Making our strategies.
Here I go I hope it is good...

Marina going for the win.
Well it wasn't enough because we beat them. This is our victory photo.
Next we played Brandon and Gabriel and we beat them too. See I am giving them the "L" for losers sign.

I am not sure if they were letting us win or we actually beat them but hey I am so competitive I don't care we still won! Haha Gabriel looks like he is crying.

I can't wait to see them all again. I think Brandon is going to come visit us after he graduates so that will be exciting. He has a wrestling match lined up with little Gabe and he is trying to challenge me to Rummikub so we will see what he brings.
