Wow 11 Years!

We had a long birthday weekend for Chyna. It all started Friday morning as she awoke to birthday donuts. Yumm! She opened a couple of her presents from mom and dad and then off to school.

That night we let her chose where she wanted to eat so she picked Cattlemens Steakhouse. Steak is her favorite. We invited my side of the family to join us. It was a nice evening together.
Gabriel and Luke. Best buds and cousins. Grandma, Luke, Gabriel, Lauren, Chyna and Ciera waiting.
Devouring dessert.
Grandpa's girl!

This is the real reason Chyna likes going there. She wants the free cowboy hat!

Gillian and Lauren.

Ooh a Twilight giftcard. Ipod here comes Chyna!

Then for our next birthday meal we went to Me N Eds with Jason's family. It was a lot of fun. The first time we had all been together for awhile. We had a lot to celebrate. Chyna's 11th, Kim's 49th ( am I allowed to say that) Grandpa Pryce's birthday and Grandma and Grandpa's 51st anniversary. A lot going on in March.
Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday Dear Chyna. Happy Birthday to you.

Me and my sisters in law. Lesa, me, Marissa and Monica.

This is Jason's whole immediate family.
We had a great time with everyone. I am so thankful that Chyna has the love and support of so many around her. She is turning into a beautiful young lady and I am so proud of her.

Activity Update

We have been so busy lately that I have not published any of the fun things going on around here.
First the girls had an awards assembly. I did not make it to Gillian's :( but I got some pictures of Chyna and her Reader of the Month award. She also received Principal's Character Award. Savannah received Honor Roll as well as Perfect Attendance.

Last Friday Chyna and I went to Hollywood to see Grease the Musical. It was a great evening with her. She loves plays as much as I do. I really liked this play. It was very different than the movie but really good.

Taylor Hicks played Teen Angel in the play. He did a great job and after the play he came out and sang some songs off his new CD. However he was signing autographs afterwards but was not very nice. We bought a cast poster but he would not sign it. He would only sign merchandise that was just his. He also would not take pictures with people only by himself. Hmm, not very personable. So here he is by himself. It would have been cuter with Chyna next to him. Oh well.
And finally Jason's diploma came. He finished up his degree in December but they had to review his transcripts and make sure everything was complete. So it is official he has his MBA.

Gabriel wanted a picture of him holding something so here he is. He is too cute!

The Happiest Place On Earth...

We went to Disneyland this past weekend. It was such a fun weekend with the family. We were able to ride so many rides together now that Gabriel is getting bigger. He is just shy of 40" so the next time we go he will be able to ride almost all of them. Gillian was very daring this time too. She rode Space Mountain and a few other she has been afraid of. Her favorite ride now is Splash Mountain.

This was our first ride Toy Story. Gabriel was not sure about it at first. He loved it by the end. Unfortunately their guns did not work. Fortunately they gave us a pass to ride it again.

Small World just reopened after some renovations. They added a lot of Disney Characters. Behind Chyna and Savannah you will see Lilo and Stitch. Then in the picture below they added a whole western area with Woody and Jesse.

We have never had a picture with Tinkerbell before. Very exciting!

We tried to lock the kids up but they kept breaking out. Oh well!

While we were in line at Matterhorn Whoopi Goldberg cut up in line. She doesn't have to wait I guess. Anyway she was getting off and we were going to get on but she decided to ride again so we were right behind her. This was Gabriel's first time on the ride. This was his face at the end. I don't think he liked it.

Our last ride before we left was Monsters. Then the kids posed with Walle. They all look exhausted.

Bass Lake

This past weekend we went up to Bass Lake with Jason's family. We arrived Saturday afternoon and had a little lunch then headed to find a snow hill. We haven't been to the snow in a while with the kids. I believe this was the first time for Gabriel. All week long he kept saying. "Can we go to the no today?" So finally the day came for our "no" trip. The weather was really mild, we were actually getting hot taking this first picture. Then it was off to find a hill.

We didn't really find a big hill but decent enough for the kids. Then it was back to the cabin for dinner and relaxing for the night.

The next day we decided we would go find some hiking trails. I have been wanting to take the kids hiking for awhile but Jason is always skeptical. We found this little trail only 1/2 mile but it goes to the top of the mountain so it was a decent hike for their first time. We had to go over a stream and climb rocks. There was a few falls and slips but the kids loved it. Everytime Gabriel fell he would get up and say "that was fun".

This was at the top with Bass Lake behind us. It was so pretty.
After the hike we headed down to the lake. The water was really low and the kids played around it for awhile. Jason and I always take a shot like this when we go somewhere???

It was a great weekend. I realized how much of an outdoor girl I am. I always think of myself as a city girl but I would rather be in a cabin in the woods and hiking and biking then down in the city. I am thankful for my family and the fun we always have together.

Also thanks Jim and Ed for letting us use the cabin it was so nice.
