Santa Claus, Lights and Christmas Morning

What a busy week we had leading up til Christmas. WE went to see the Christmas lights and of course Santa Claus. Gabriel would not sit on his lap or get to close to him but he did walk up and tell him he wanted a drum set for Christmas. What? That was the first I heard of that! After that Gabriel kept talking about how Santa was bringing him drums for Christmas.

When we walked away Gabriel said "that isn't the real Santa, he didn't say ho, ho ,ho".

The kids had a blast. It is so much nicer to walk than drive. Although we picked the coldest night of the week and we were freezing out there but we kept warm with some hot chocolate.

Christmas morning came and Santa kept his word and the kids all got what they asked for.
A drum set...

A cell phone... A television and New Moon stuff...
A Zhu Zhu pet, and television. And a candy jewel factory thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Pryce.
From our family to yours Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
(Yes they are all slankets, Gabriel got a toy story one and Gillian got a Tinkerbell one for Christmas. Not to be confused with Snuggies :)

Knott's Berry Farm

This past weekend we went to Knott's Berry Farm. I have always wanted to go at Christmas to see the Charlie Brown Christmas decorations. We had a lot of fun, the kids all braved up and rode some scarier rides then they were used too. Gillian rode Ghostrider which was pretty fast and she was too small for the seatbelt so she kept falling down to the floor. She said she would stay in the Camp Snoopy area after that. Savannah loved it though and wanted to ride it again but no one could handle doing that twice. Chyna wanted to ride Supreme Scream which was a freefall and she really liked it but yet didn't ask to ride anymore big rides after that. We went with the family rides from then on.

The first day we went to Downtown Disney to do a little shopping and hang out. So sad we couldn't go into Disneyland this time.

Winter Program

The girls all had their wonter programs this week. Chyna plays the flute in intermediate band and performed three songs. Savannah is in the 5th-8th grade choir. Gillian performed two songs with her second grade class. They all did a great job and performed beautifully. I couldn't have been more proud of them.

Eric's Temple Trip

Saturday we went to the temple with Eric for the first time before he leaves on his mission. What a great experience it was to share with him. Eric is leaving on the 16th to serve in the Pennsylvania Pittsburg mission.

After the temple we picked all the kids up and went to John's Incredible Pizza to celebrate Eric's 19th birth
Then to finish off the night we headed to Fig Garden to walk Christmas Tree Lane. I think everyone had a great time. IT was a long but really fun day.

This is why all the kids love him. He is the only one who would carry a 7 year old around Christmas Tree Lane.
Luke and Gabriel had the best ride.
It was an awesome day. We are all going to miss Eric so much but we are so proud of him for going on a mission and I know he will do great.

New Moon

Thursday night I went to see the premier of New Moon. We were worried it was going to be crazy and crowded but it wasn't. We just walked right in and got great seats. Such a fun experience. New Moon was so good I can't wait to go see it again. Thanks to Claudia, Julie and Sara for coming with and thanks to Kristen for taking this pic and sending it to me.

Imagination

Last week Gillian was home for a few days with a fever. This was great for Gabriel because he misses the girls so much while they are at school. He decided that morning that he wanted to build me a rocket ship. Yes that is right it was for me. Although I didn't fit so he had to play in it for me. That was so nice of him. Anyway I found a big box and he told me exactly how to build it and that he needed a steering wheel and remote to get back home. They played in this rocket ship all day. He was making up the wildest stories about going into outer space. When Jason came home I told Gabriel to show daddy how the rocket ship worked. He counted down and then blasted off and then started screaming and scuffling around in the box. Jason got scared thinking a bug or something was in there making him scream so he grabbed him and pulled him out. I asked Gabriel what he was doing and he said an alien had gotten into his rocket ship and was trying to come home so he was fighting it. This boy has the funnest imagination.
