Family Time with Photos
This past weekend we had absolutely nothing to do. I was so excited to have a Saturday with nothing schedules so we took advantage of it. We decided to go to Woodward park and mess around and get some family pictures taken while we were there. I take all our pictures mainly because I am cheap and I don't want to spend the money on a photographer and also because it is fun and we can play around and not be on a schedule with a certain number of shots. I came home with 200 shots and a lot of them were just the kids interacting between shots and such. I think I capture a lot of great memories this way. Afterwards we went to lunch which was nice. The kids were starving so they all sat and ate and behaved very well. I am excited to be in this new chapter of my life where the kids are getting older and easier to do things with but it is bittersweet in knowing I am done with babies. These are a few of my favorite pictures of my growing family.

To My Favorite Veteran
I can't believe it has been 12 years since this picture was taken. I can't believe it has been 5 years since we have been out of the Air Force. I loved our time in the military. I loved that our family began and grew in the military. I loved all the wonderful places that we were able to visit and explore. I love all the wonderful friends we made and still have from our time in the Air Force. Only another military person knows that the friendships you make while you are in are extraordinary and everlasting. I think of these times fondly and sometimes even miss them greatly. You gave me and our children such a wonderful experience by your willingness to serve our country. It was a wonderful time that I know we all will have the memories forever. I want you to know how proud I was of you then and I still am today. I am so grateful to you and to the many men and women serving still today. What a great sacrifice and service they are doing for our country. I am so thankful for this day to honor everyone who has ever served in the military. My prayers are with all the men and women serving now to protect this great country.

Halloween
We decided to do pumpkin carving for FHE this year. So Monday night we got all the stuff together and let the kids do whatever they wanted with their pumpkins. All the girls did their pumpkins almost completely by themselves. What a treat! Of course Gabriel needed help from his dad but I was able to watch, enjoy, and make some yummy hot chocolate for their treat when they were done.

Halloween was pretty low key this year. We were on our own no family around so we went to our ward's trunk or treat (Sanger does it on Halloween). A little bit in Chyna was really sick so she ended up going home early. We stayed long enough for the kids to trunk or treat and headed home. Right when we got home Savannah offered to share her candy with Chyna who wasn't able to get any. Luckily for Savannah Chyna was so sick I think she only took 4 pieces but I thought it was so sweet that she offered.
Aren't these the cutest kids?

Savannah's Safari Birthday
Savannah's birthday fell on a Saturday so we asked her what she wanted to do. Since her life revolves around animals it was only fitting that we went to the zoo. It was an awesome day. The weather was great and all the animals were out. No matter how many times we go to the zoo the kids still love it. Since it was right before Halloween the animals had some treats in their cages. And as a bonus we went into the reptile house at feeding time!

Savannah Hits the Double Digits
Savannah turned the big 1-0 and celebrated with a slumber party on the night before her birthday. There was no slumbering going on at this party, it was an all night scream party. She had so much fun though. They ended up camping out in a tent and telling spooky stories. Maybe this is what led to the no sleep and screaming. Needless to say Saturday morning they were all a bit tired after only a couple hours sleep. They were all so quiet at breakfast but then it picked up just in time for the mom's to come pick them up. I sent everyone back to bed and we all took a nap until Jason got home.
